Beautiful traditional house which has been renovated and modernized under the supervision of an architect, in the shadow of Amsterdam!

The original old farm house in De Rijp has been enlarged and modernly renovated by Wim van de Oudeweetering. Neither expense nor effort has been spared in order to transform this property into a modern palace. With her authentic style little has been changed on the outside and it seems as if time stood still. On the inside, however, it has become an entirely different house with all conceivable comforts (and then some!) that you can expect these days.

Principal residence
Entrance, the front door of the house can be called particularly charming due to the traditional ironwork in front of the window. You enter into the hallway of the house. From the hall you have access to multiple rooms. On the right side you’ll find a space which is ideal to use as a home office. While you are doing work at your desk, outside you have a view of the idyllic houses of Noordeinde. This space can also be closed off by means of sliding doors so that you can work here undisturbed. The living room is on the other side of the hall. This runs from the front to the back of the house. The French doors provide direct access to (one of) the hardwood garden terrace(s) on the edge of the spacious garden pond provided with, among others, Koi carps. From this side of the house you have an unobstructed view over polder, with her breathtaking sunsets. The muntin bar arrangement is completely in line with the style of the house. Furthermore, the room can be called particularly spacious and it offers space for multiple sitting areas. The gas fireplace in the center of the living room is a wonderful spot to sit during winter days.
The kitchen is connected to the living room. Particularly characteristic is the height difference in the kitchen. A void has been created which continues into the ridge of the house. Sitting down at the table is therefore a unique experience, especially in combination with the view of the garden and farmlands. The kitchen is provided with all sorts of Gaggenau appliances and a built-in gas fireplace.

Through the hall you reach the stairs to the first floor. Here are in total 3 spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom is located on the left part of the house. Special are the high ceilings and the playful character of this room. On 3 sides of the room are windows with a view of the beautiful surroundings. Through double doors you also have access to the roof terrace. In the master bedroom there is a staircase which leads to the attic. Here too is more than enough space to store items.
Next to the master bedroom is the large bathroom. This is specially designed under architecture. Unique are the height of the ceiling, the materials and the layout. The bathroom gives the idea of an actual in-house wellness.
The 2 other bedrooms are located on the other side of the house. Both are spacious and one of these rooms also has its own en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and sink.

Hay barn
The former hay barn has been transformed into a separate apartment with its own facilities.
