Luxurious and high-end apartment of approx 89 m2 with a great balcony facing South, in the middle of a vibrant part of Amsterdam Oud Zuid!
During the renovation of this house much attention has been paid to the details and finishing. Throughout the apartment is an oak floor and there are Maretti spotlights. Furthermore, a very efficient layout with two bedrooms and a spacious bathroom has been realized.
Entrance, you have your entrance from the ground floor. Through the private staircase you enter the apartment. The living room is located at the front and striking are the high ceilings (approx. 2.81 meters) and the total width of the house (approx. 6.15 meters). The high ceilings in combination with the large windows make that the living room enjoys lots of natural light. The living area is spacious and offers more than enough space for a large seating arrangement and a separate dining area. The open kitchen enjoys a prominent place and has a cooking island with a bar area. Of course, the kitchen is equipped with all kinds of appliances including an induction hob, fridge, freezer, wine cooler and a Quooker.
The two bedrooms are located at the back of the house. The master bedroom is spacious and has patio doors to the balcony facing South. The second bedroom is also well sized and has access to the balcony.
The bathroom is in the middle of the house and very spacious just as well. We’re talking about a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, freestanding bath and double washbasin with oak washbasin. Nice detail is the ceiling-high glass panel next to the shower.
In the hall there is a separate toilet and a cupboard for your machine and dryer.
Close by to the house is the newly built second British School of Amsterdam, within walking distance of the Vondelpark and close to the shops and cozy restaurants, cafes and specialty shops of the Cornelis Schuytstraat, the P.C. Hooftstraat, the Amstelveenseweg, and the popular Beethovenstraat.
Cafe-Restaurant George, the chocolate shop Arti-choc, two specialty wine shops, the vegetable specialty shop, a bookshop and a bakery are within a very short walking distance of the house.
Several primary and secondary schools are located in the immediate vicinity of the house and cultural entertainment venues such as the new de la Mar theater, Paradiso, the Concertgebouw, the Rijksmuseum and the Stedelijk Museum are less than ten minutes from the house by bike. The Vondelpark is literally across the street.
The highways are quick and easy to reach by car, public transport is well regulated by tram line 2, as well as several bus lines that stop a short distance from the house (including Lairessestraat, Koninginneweg and the Haarlemmermeer station).
The street was named in 1888 after Queen Emma, the second wife of King William III, who, just before William’s death in 1890, took over the royal duties until 1898 as regent for their underage daughter, Wilhelmina. At that time the street was still situated in the municipality of Nieuwer-Amstel. After the annexation of this part of Nieuwer-Amstel in 1896 the street kept its name.
In short, a lovely 3 room apartment with a spacious balcony! You only have to bring your belongings and then you can immediately start enjoying.
